Ms Marian Navarro
Special Education Resource Teacher

My name is Marian Navarro and I am excited to be a Brooke Lion! This is my first year at Brooke and I will be teaching Resource; I previously taught PPCD for 2 years at Widen Elementary. I am originally from Harlingen, Texas and came to Austin to attend St. Edward’s University where I graduated from and have been here ever since. Aside from teaching I am certified in Occupational Therapy and have worked in hospitals, nursing facilities and home health; but working with kids has been my favorite! I also have extensive training in the Handwriting without Tears programs. When I’m not working I love watching all sports, in person and on TV, and I’m an avid Cubs fan. I love to run marathons, travel and cook and I enjoy spending time with my better half, Marcus and our Miniature Schnauzer, Maggi.
